Meet Zack Taggart
He’s twelve years old, exceptionally bright, and working for a secret intelligence agency. Most kids his age are worrying about homework. Zack Taggart has rather different problems.
Zack is a young spy with a talent for getting into situations that would make most adults think twice. He’s curious, resourceful, and never particularly keen to leave a mystery alone. Give him a challenge, a few clever gadgets, and a problem that seems impossible to solve, and he’s in his element.
Of course, being a twelve-year-old genius doesn’t mean he has everything figured out. The world of espionage is complicated, danger rarely announces itself in advance, and even the smartest kid in the room can find himself in over his head.
That’s where the adventure begins.

A Different Kind of Twelve-Year-Old
Zack isn’t your typical kid, but he’s still a kid. His intelligence opens doors that would remain firmly shut to most twelve-year-olds, and his work with the International Spy Agency puts him in situations most adults would prefer to avoid.
He’s comfortable with computers, fascinated by technology, and quick to spot things other people miss. But being exceptionally clever doesn’t make him invulnerable. Zack still has to learn when to trust his instincts, when to ask questions, and when he might be in way over his head.
Zack takes his responsibilities seriously, perhaps sometimes more seriously than a twelve-year-old should. He’s still learning what it means to work in a world of secrets, danger, and people whose motives aren’t always what they seem. Being the smartest person in the room doesn’t necessarily mean understanding everything that’s going on.
Zack’s First Mission
It begins with strange lights over Bucerías, a beach town on Mexico’s Pacific coast. For most people, they’re a curiosity. For Zack Taggart, they’re a mystery that needs solving. With seventy-two hours to uncover the truth, he finds himself caught up in experimental technology, corporate intrigue, and a threat that could put an entire town at risk.
The Adventure Is Just Beginning
Zack’s first mission is only the beginning. There are mysteries to solve, secrets to uncover, and a world of espionage waiting to challenge him. He’s twelve years old, after all. What could possibly go wrong?
